Hwhup The Deans List, The Jason Dean here. You’re probably wondering why you’re seeing me in your inbox again so soon. You’re just getting used to only having to me in your life twice a week and here I am randomly popping back into your life on a Thursday.

Well I am SO not sorry/sorry for this special edition of ‘Waves are Thursdays’ or ‘The Weekder’ because I have some news, baby! Shortly after I published my Waves are Wednesdays post yesterday, I got word that my profile in Voyage Michigan is live!!!

It’s at this point that you may be saying to yourself ‘Ummm what…profile on Voyage Michigan?. A completely rational and expected response since I haven’t said anything about a profile on Voyage Michigan before now. This is in part because I wasn’t sure what I could say, and in part because I thought I’d have more time. I still don’t and I didn’t and voila! Here we are.

The coolest thing is not the profile itself (although that’s pretty fricking cool). It’s that I was nominated by another photographer, Terri Shattuck. Terri is an incredible and thoughtful artist and not just because she nominated me for this feature! She takes wonderful photos, especially of barns. She has a gift for roaming the countryside, finding these gorgeous old barns, and creating beautiful landscape photos. If you aren’t already, you should give her a follow.

Anywho, I am just pleased as punch with how the profile turned out. Please check it out and let me know what you think. And if reading my piece makes you think about someone else in your life that could use their flowers, you can totally give them the same opportunity that Terri gave to me. There are so many talented humans who joyfully labor in obscurity to make the world a better place and I’m thankful to Voyage Michigan for creating a platform to tell their stories.

One thing I would really, REALLY appreciate- if you like what I do, please consider sharing my Voyage Michigan profile on your social media. Obviously I want to grow my audience, but I also hope that people will connect with the idea that it’s never too late to find your inner artist. You just have to be open to exploration.

I had 8 images featured in the profile; here are a handful of my favorites that I shared. You can find all of them, along with all of the images I’ve had published or up for display here.

See you around,

Jason
