Waves are Wednesdays
Happy Thanksgiving Eve, friends! Well, that’s not entirely true. Someone reading this newsletter, almost certainly, is not getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow. Maybe it’s because they are taking a principled stance against the genocide perpetrated against Native Americans by the early Americans. Or…and hear me out here…it could be that they aren’t even American 🫢
As I grow older, I realize that many things I take for granted are messy and complicated- even things that seem innocuous, like eating a bunch of MSG-laced food on the fourth Thursday of every November. Yet still, I celebrate. I celebrate Thanksgiving because I have much to be thankful for. And what I am thankful for, right this moment, is every single person that has taken the time to support me and my work. I’ve never taken for granted that in the sea of endless content, you give attention to things that I make. As I navigate some huge transitions, that is what I’m meditating on this Thanksgiving. And whether or not you celebrate, for whatever reason, I hope you take time to think about the things in your life that you are thankful for because those things are everything.
See you around,
Jason
