Hwhup The Deans List? The Jason Dean here, bringing an end to the first weekend in October. Speaking of ends, this past week we ended all the legal children in our home. Let me explain, lest I catch the watchful eye of the FBI, ICE, or Child Protective Services. On Thursday our youngest child turned 18, so we are now officially a family composed entirely of adults; that is, at least age-wise. Maturity wise, I am (redacted) years old.
Anyways. Let’s get into it.
Field Trip
It’s going to be a shorter newsletter this week because I spent Saturday trekking around Baraga County hunting waterfalls with the one and only Myles. I’m happy to report we did bag and tag some falls, but folks- I am no spring chicken! We hiked about five miles through the woods in 80+ degree heat and my entire body hurts like I fell off a roof and landed directly on my soul.
And I can’t wait to do it again!
Since I have less words than usual, I will use some of them to let you know that I am going to be a part of the 2nd Annual Luova Fest 💖💖💖
The Festival will take place at The Crib from October 10th to 12th. If you’re in Marquette that weekend, I absolutely recommend checking it out 😎 I will have five pieces on display (picture below). I leaned heavily into the abstract because of course I did.
