Waves are Wednesdays

Astute readers will recognize that this is the first Wednesday of October. Pardon my cursing, but holy mess! Where the shuck has this year gone? Even though there are still three months left, this is the time of year where the skids of time get greased by holidays and before you know it we’re going to be buying ‘the good stuff‘, singing Auld Lang Syne and destroying our circadian rhythms for the next six weeks. And not to be ‘Old Man Yells At Cloud’, but they start putting out holiday decorations in stores earlier and earlier which of course amplifies the warped sense of time that I already have as I have rounded the halfway point of my 40s and am rapidly descending into what I believe is affectionately referred to as ‘Over the Hill’.

Anyways, I didn’t come here to complain about capitalism. I came here to say thank you for being a supporter of The Deans List through a year that will go down as both the toughest and best of my life. I have evolved into a completely new man through the most adverse conditions I could have imagined and am taking steps to travel a path that used to be a dream I would whisper to myself while proverbially skipping stones across a metaphorical pond. You’re a part of that story, friends, and for that I will be forever grateful!

See you around,

Jason
